JUERGEN BRETTEL

 

 

Juergen Brettel is Chairman DAMSON Group and one of the most renowned senior executives in the fields of consulting and information technology. He heads JFB Advisory, located close to Munich, Germany.

 

Juergen headed Meta Group AG in Germany and acted as Vice President of Marketing for META Group EMEA until it was acquired by Gartner at the end of 2004. Juergen was one of the founders of Experton Group AG and has acted as the company's CEO since 2005, when the company was established, until August 2017, when the company got merged with Information Services Group (ISG). Experton Group was an off shoot of Meta Group and was acquired by ISG in the beginning of 2016. As a Partner of Information Services Group, Juergen headed the Research and Provider Services activities in the DACH region.

Before Meta Group, Juergen had worked with highly prestigious organizations including Digital Equipment Corporation Germany and Hewlett-Packard Europe.

Juergen studied at the University for Applied Sciences in Furtwangen (Black Forest) and at the Technical University of Berlin and holds a diploma degree in electrical engineering. Further professional education included courses at INSEAD Institute in Fontainebleau and at Babson College in Lausanne.

Today Juergen supports ICT providers in all questions of strategic marketing, especially in the area of provider strategies, go-to-market and strategic portfolio development as well as mid-sized companies in strategic and digitization efforts.
