DIEGO BETTIO

 

 

Diego Bettio is Advisor (Sales Strategy) with DAMSON Group. Diego is Blue Ocean Strategy Expert, Consultant and Project Manager. He is INSEAD Blue Ocean Strategy Certified Practitioner and has served at senior positions in prominent companies in Italy including AirPlus, American Express, HRS, Blueteam, UvetAmex, and Club Med.

 

At Blueteam Travel Group, Diego has been Corporate Commercial Director where he managed to form the new sales team and defined sales strategy and pricing model of the company working closely with the internal departments of Operations, Mid Office, Marketing & Communication and IT. He was directly involved in selling, negotiating and SLA/KPIs definition processes, managing all phases of business deals and tender processes. He contributed to the growth of 20MIO new business in 14 months, the retaining of 100% existing customers and promoted valuable and genuine partnerships with the market actors on joint customers. Having an extensive assigned portfolio (North and Central Italy) he improved a solid and fruitful relationship with a high number of key contacts and company functions at all levels in the market.

Earlier, Diego has been Sales & Key Account Manager at HRS Group which he selected because of its huge potentiality as end-to-end lodging and travel solutions as well as an established brand in the hospitality world. He was responsible for building and maintaining relationship with the key customers on the assigned portfolio, improving cross-selling and up-selling along with new sales opportunities with potential prospects. Diego also served AirPlus International as Sales & Key Account Manager and BI & CRM Project Leader where he was responsible for business development, cross-selling and up-selling on the assigned portfolio of corporate customers and retail travel agencies. At this position, Diego reached No. 1 worldwide cross-sellers position in 2015 attributed to a 15MIO cross-country implementation. He was appointed country champion for the company's data analysis tool as he was responsible for internal coaching as well as developer of advanced travel and benchmark reports which increased the company value proposition and reputation.

Diego has also worked as National Sales & Account Manager with UVET American Express Global Business Travel where he merged sales and account management activities, managing all phases of business deals from lead generation to agreement definition with the implementation process and clients configuration including travel profiles and travel policy procedures.

Diego is certified as The Complete Skilled Negotiator from The Gap Partnership, and is also Certified Internal Auditor qualified from Quality Management International Ltd, London.
